시스템공학 방법론의 연구 및 응용이 초창기에는 미국 국방산업과 우주항공 산업의 선도적 역할 아래 활발히 발전 하였지만 최근에는 교통, 에너지, 환경, 정보통신 등 민수산업 분야로 확대되는 시스템공학 기술의 발전과 응용확대기에 진입하고 있다.

국내에서도 방위사업청과 국방과학연구소 등에서의 전통적인 활동을 관찰할 수 있고, 최근에는 철도개발사업 및 철도종합안전사업, 우주항공사업 등 국가대형 복합기술개발 사업에서 눈에 띄는 시스템공학활동을 지적할 수 있다. 향후 조선 및 중공업 등 대형 전통산업에서도 기술선진화와 함께 활발한 적용이 기대된다.

최근에 방위사업청은 관련 각종 군수 획득 및 개발 사업에서 시스템공학 기술의 적극적인 적용을 규정화 하여 방위산업 전 분야의 시스템기술 프로세스와 방법의 응용과 확산이 기대되고 있다.

Systems Engineer - Modeling & Simulation (MBE Global Center)

Boeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking to hire a few System Engineers who are the experts in Modeling & Simulation. The positions will be located in our offices in Seoul, South Korea.Boeing places high priority in identifying the right talent for its workforce, and in investing in its employees’ careers and development. Boeing begins its employees’ journey with a two-year fixed-term employment contract with full benefits. Following successful completion of the employment term, employees will be eligible to permanently continue their employment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and/or support to product development in this field, with emphasis on software, systems engineering and modeling and simulation.
• Contribute to the development of novel engineering methods, processes, training and tools
• Develop and document novel ideas, file patent applications
• Analyze and efficiently present engineering results.
• Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and capture funding
• Find opportunities to integrate projects with other disciplines – adopt a multidisciplinary mindset
• Promote and maintain meaningful partnerships with internal and external partners and customers
• Participate in Agile scrum teams
• Occasional travel may be required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Demonstrated technical judgment and initiative. Self-motivation and Research Experience are a must.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Engineering and Modeling & Simulation.
• Experience with commercial off-the-shelf modeling & simulation tools. Matlab/Simulink is a must.
• Demonstrated experience in Research and Physical Reasoning
